Episode 7: Ukraine Strikes Back

Russian President Putin authorized the invasion against Ukraine immediately being denounced by global leaders. Ukrainian forces have made a valiant defense of the homeland as videos emerge across social media. President Zelensky took to the streets to show claims he had fled the country were baseless propaganda. Citizens from across the region have armed themselves and are participating in the defense, removing street signs and making roads harder to navigate for invasion forces. Bravery has been displayed on every level. Dr. Sergei Zhuk of Ball State University joins the program this week to discuss the historical involvement of Russian forces in the region dating back to the 17th century and the struggle of the people to gain independence.
