Only 17 days after the Constitutional Carry Bill the law was put to the test when a deranged gunman shot 3 innocent people in the greenwood Park Mall, fortunately his rampage was cut short by a 22yr old who acted quickly to dispatch the threat in 15 seconds. We mourn the tragic loss of life but celebrate the quick thinking of this young hero whose decisive actions doubtlessly saved more lives from being loss and in so doing demonstrates the benefits to armed self-defense. One 22yr old acted to stop a shooter when more than 300 law enforcement officers in Uvalde waited and let more lives of innocent children be taken showing why you cannot rely on law enforcement response for personal safety. On July 8th when President Biden signed an executive order protecting access to abortion services he referenced a story published on July 1st in the Indianapolis Star about a 10y year old rape victim who had to travel to the state to receive an abortion after the procedure had been outlawed after 6 weeks in the state of Ohio due to a trigger law which went into effect after the repeal of Roe v. Wade. Immediate some members of media began questioning whether this 10 year old victim even existed; unfortunately the tragedy was too real, and the alleged rapist (an illegal immigrant) was arrested on July 12th. This tragic story highlights the importance for legal immigration and a controlled border but also the necessity for safe and legal abortion services and for those procedures to be a decision between healthcare providers and their patients, particularly in the most tragic of circumstances like these. You'll hear how this important debate was senselessly derailed by Liberal ideologues in House and Senate hearings on the issue, as well as the latest political fumble by the Administration-- this time by First Lady Jill Biden. All this is illustrative of an ailing culture that little resembles the America WWII veterans like Carl Spurlin Dekel, who celebrated his 100th birthday last week, fought for. In a tactical bid to divide Americans on a wedge issue nefarious forces leaked a Supreme Court draft opinion which would overturn the 50yr Roe V. Wade ruling. Leftists across the country erupted with outrage, decrying it as an assault on women's rights. (Especially ironic since they needed a biologist to determine what a woman is only weeks ago.) The abortion debate has been revived in full, and opinions are varied. My political thesis is Americans views are nuanced and the party which most forcefully pushes their views on this issue will receive the fiercest public backlash. This could have a big ripple effect in the midterm elections. The Indiana primary elections were held last week with exceptionally low turnout, although the big dollar Republican machine defeated two Conservative statehouse candidates new Conservatives were tapped in their primary elections, so not all is lost. Dave Chapelle was attacked on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in another signal of Americans dwindling civility to each other. A Federal Judge in Florida overturned the CDC mask mandate for travelers on airplanes and bus lines, etc. The announcement was met with jubilation and glee as mid-flight travelers cheered as they disposed of their masks. Bizarrely the Mainstream Media continues to insist the majority of Americans actually support the mandates, but this does not seem to comport with reality. Johnny Depp is embroiled in a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, and as the sordid dirty laundry is aired in court neither of the stars will come out unscathed. The Department of Education in Florida rejected several math textbooks from inclusion in the curriculum because of their including Social Emotional Learning and Critical Race Theory in the learning materials. President Biden was caught being harassed by an Easter Bunny who hopped in to intervene when the President drifted off-script and began discussing Afghanistan and Pakistan with nearby journalists, and his handlers went in full damage control mode to prevent the meandering Executive from causing a further blunder. Pete Buttigieg joins The View to say if teachers can't teach kindergarteners about transgender political issues will 'kill kids', and also hear a First Grade transgender teacher in Boston use their position to indoctrinate kids about their lifestyle, confusing and lying to them by saying Doctors "make a guess" about what gender children are when they are born. The Senator was able to elucidate such legislative shortcuts could be extremely detrimental to the process of crafting bills truly reflective of the American people. In the state of Indiana, Governor Holcomb gave his state of the state address, and in the follow-up response to the speech Democrats admitted they have more in common with the Republican governor than his fellow party-members. Rand Paul clashed once again with Dr. Anthony Fauci during a senate hearing for participating in a coordinated takedown of reputable epidemiologists for disagreeing with aspects of the CDC's response to Covid-19 pandemic. The Supreme Court ruled that the OSHA vaccine mandate exceeded their statutory authority, but kept in place a mandate for healthcare workers who receive Medicate and Medicaid funding. Senator Ted Cruz spoke on his podcast "Verdict" speculated that Republicans would impeach President Biden for dereliction of duty on the Border Crisis should they retake the House of Representatives, cementing impeachment as little more than a partisan cudgel. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responds to his remarks with an equally snarky reply. CNN finds time to mock New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her bizarre assertion critics noting her hypocrisy for vacationing in mandate-free Florida were "sexualizing" her and "obsessed" with her boyfriend’s feet.
